Family Dnd Session 21

 The party took a bit of time to recover and headed for the village of Puddlesworth. They arrived at night and headed to the tavern. Inside were 4 gruff looking men who told Downhead and Azorak to go away. The barmen a tall dragon born was very nervous when speaking to the party. They eventually got out of him that "they" ran the village and were in control. A female and a male had arrived but soon disappeared after asking questions. The party head to bed resolves to investigate the village in the  morning.  During the night the party wake up to the smell of burning...... The tavern is on fire, after they burst out their rooms they spot a female tied up in the middle of the tavern. Downhead cuts the ropes and discovers Yolanda. The agent they are looking for  outside are 16 cultists chanting. Azorak doves out of t he window followed by Downhead both with bows drawn. Ragnum smashes the door down and ready his axe. Ianthe wold shapes into an Ape and swings out of the tavern. Battle erupts! The party is victorious and Yolanda reveals Crisxus was taken away in a black carriage and is dead. Everyone heads back to Queens Watch where the king awaits. He rewards the heroes with special rings that summon mounts. No more walking for these guys. Ianthe has a giant elk, Azorak a Boar, Downhead a large greyhound (we have a greyhound d and my 6 year old loves him so much so had to put him in) Ragnum gets a T Rex (because its cool and I'm the DM dammit). With them is the wizard they rescued from Cyrus's Estate. The wizard one of the original heroes holds the chalice and says he will go to Dragons Teeth castle to live out his remaining days. He pulls out a blue stone and it opens a portal. The party goes through and adds the chalice to the basin with the other 2 items in. After a relaxing evening in Iron Jaws Bane back at the Hairy Shack. The party notice an owl following them. Ianthe calls it down and finds a note tied to its leg. The note reads

Ianthe, Downhead our home has bee struck by some sickness and we need your help please come to the Misty Wood! 

RCBBL Week 2 and 3

 

We are back!!! Sorry its been a while real life keeps getting in the way of my gaming updates. We are a couple of couple of more  weeks in so let's get cracking

Week 2

Osiris Scales vs Death Spectres

A tough match for the Dark Elves taking on the liazards. I heard it was a bit of a punch up and the Osiris Scales took the win 1 - 0.

Fury Cutters vs Glade Runners

Father vs son for this match my Wood elves taking on my boys human team. The humans punched the hell out of the woodies. The journeymen I took for the match were all casualties by the end of the first half.  A close match ended 3 - 2 to the Glade Runners!

Gnoblar Gobblers vs Eaglettes

Husband vs wife in this match up! The ogres it seemed couldn't catch the elves (as an elf coach now I can't moan about elf tactics mwha ha ha), they did manage some quality runt punting but they were beaten 3 - 4

Week 3

On to the next week!!!

Death Spectres vs Fury Cutters 

The dark elves and most experienced team took on the humans. A battle was fought but in the end the Death Spectres took the win 4 - 0.

Osiris Scales vs Gnoblar Gobblers 

A close match but the ogres throwing and kicking of runts took the win 2 - 1

Glade Runners vs Eaglettes 

Elf vs elf action! Nuffle took a dislike to the Elven Union team and hampered their dice rolls. One elf catcher managed 5 dodges only to fall on a Rush for the end zone! The Glade Runners took the win 4 - 1.

That's another few weeks done. Starting to like the woodies. They are super brittle but their speed is impressive and my war dancer with strip ball is turning into an opponent annoying player 

RCBBL Season 3 week 1

 

Here we go!! Season 3, new teams, old teams, new players and old players! The ogres are staying, the Dark Elves are staying but now we have Elven Union, a human team, a lizard team and a wood elf team! We welcome a couple of new players also! Here we go for week 1

Osiris Scales (Lizard) vs Eaglettes (Elven Union)  

2 of the new teams faced off against each other. The Eaglettes rookie coach lines up against last year's championship winning coach though minus his rats this year. The game ended 4 - 0 to the Eaglettes! The elves put on a display of speed and dodging. 

Gnoblar Gobblers (Ogre) vs Fury Cutters (Human) 

Another rookie coach (proud parent moment my 8 year old has joined the league) faces a veteran coach. In a thrilling game where my sons distinct lack of regard for any kind of looking at the odds and deciding on a sensible course of action ment crazy actions were attempted. The Fury Cutters took the win 4-2!

Death Spectres (Dark Elf) vs Glade runners (Wood Elf)

2 veteran RCBBL coaches face each other one with the highest TV team of the league. The other a brand new team who play a totally different style than the coach is used to (yeah that's me). A hard fought tactical match happened where my brain still hurts from working out tackle zones. The rookie woodies took the veteran Dark elves to 2-2 despite losing their thrower and 2 other players early on (one lineman dead already) but the Dark Elves scored on the last turn to take the win 3-2.

A good week but I'm still not sold on wood elves

Family Dnd Session 18, 19 20

 The party head further into the mine, they meet more cultists but also find traces of a recent battle. Dwarf and cultist bodies are strewn around. They locate cultists trying to break into the dwatf hold. They defeat the cultists and the dwarfs let them in to the hold. After speaking with the leader they know a demon stalks the halls between them and the surface. The adventurers agree to slay the demon and head off into the abandoned bits of the hold. Here they find a Glabrezus. A cracking fight occurred Ragnum the barbarian spent a lot of time being grappled and punched. Eventually the demon was slain and t he dwarves formed up and charged out into the cultist camp blocking the entrance. The cultists were defeated and the dwarves on suggestion of the party abandoned the  hold and headed towards dragons teeth castle. The party headed back to Queens Watch.

On arriving at Queens Watch paladin Dance met then and said the King wants to see them the next day. They party went shopping, avoided being mugged and stocked up in some potions.  The next day they made their way to the Palace. Ragnum got pickpocketed but the other members stopped the children before they could steal. Azorak punched a 6 year old child pick pocket. They met the King who informed them the wizard had landed at Queens Watch and came to the Palace spoke with the Kings uncles family but then disappeared. The king requested they investigate his uncles country estate. His uncle is only seen at night travelling in a black carriage. The king wants his name kept out of the investigation as his uncle has powerful friends at court and doesent want a civil war. The party agree. Before they leave Danse requests they also look at the village of  Puddlesworth. He sent to agents to investigate the cult there and they have disappeared.  The party agree and choose to head to the Kings uncles Country estate.

As they arrive Ianthe notices the gardeners all look a bit zombie like, slow shambling and a bit dumb. The house is a country house with all the windows covered up. They ask to speak to Cyrus (the Kings uncle) and are led inside. They meet Cyrus, a pale thin man as he talks Azorak, Downhead and Ragnum all feel sleepy and pass  out. Ianthe is struck from behind and is knocked out.

They awake in seperate cells with no equipment. Azorak tries to smash the door to no effect, Ianthe wild shapes into a lady bug and flies through the cell door window. She investigates ahead and finds a guard asleep. She heads back and returns to human form and let's the party out. They try and  sneak past the guard but Ragnum stubs his toe and wakes the guard up but with quick thinking dices over the table and knocks the guard out. They come to another room where 3 guards are on break. Azorak Ragnum and Downhead rush forward. Ianthe hangs back and flings fire but mostly misses. A brawl eruots and eventually the party overcome the guards. They discover a room with all their equipment but no gold. They eventually find a secret room packed with some nice treasure. Ianthe realises they are dealing with a vampire, they locate his coffin and open it carefully but it's empty. Ianthe instructs them to pour water into the coffin (Dnd vampire killing). They then move to a room emitting a blue glow. In it they find the ancient wizard cradling the chalice (One of the 4 artifacts the party need) and holding his staff out to create a force field. Also in the room is Cyrus gloating to the wizard about how no one in his family had the commitment to wait the wizard out but only he had chosen to be a vampire. He attacked the party, Ian the hit him with a moon beam and Azorak made the ground thorny around him but he still charged and took huge chunks out of Ragnum. When the battle started to swing the parties way the vampire stared intently at Downhead and convinced him to be on the vampires side. Ragnum ran and leapt at Donhead before the vampire could use him as food. The vampire was defeated and laughed as he turned to mist not realising the fate awaiting him at the coffin. The wizards shield fell and the party convinced him that they mean well and have a safe place for the chalice. They all head out of the estate where Paladin Danse arrives with a small army. Thankfully Dobbie had snuck away to get help. The party inform Paladin Danse of what's happened. Their path now leads them to Puddlesworth...... Ragnum might need a bit of a rest though! 

RCBBL Season 2 Week 9 and kinda 10

 

Week 9 

The penultimate week of action!

The Dog and Bones took on the mighty Rat Bastards! And in a shock result they won 2-1!! The Rat Bastards run of victories is brought crashing down!

The Gnoblar Gobblers defeated the Orcicidal Maniacs 2-0

The Puddings took on the Death Spectres with second place in the league on the line. The halflings struggled from terrible luck and failed to do most of the usual crazy halfling things and were dominated by t he dark elevs. This resulted in a 3 - 0 defeat. 

Week 10

Due to the league being mathematically set we all chose to concede our next games and cracking on season 3!!! Here is the final standings 

Season 3 will be starting soon. The Puddings, Dog and Bone, Orcidiak Maniacs and Rat Bastards are all retiring and new teams are arriving.  So keep an eye out!!

RCBBL Season 2 Week 6 and 7 and 8!

 

Week 6 and 7 done!! 

Week 6 saw the ever dominant Rat Bastards( Skaven) beat the Gnoblar Gobblers (Ogre) 4 - 1. Can anyone stop these rats?

The Orcicidal Maniacs (Black Orc) lost 3 nil to the Death Spectres (Dark Elves) . A black Orc though has the honour of taking the RCBBLs first intercept stopping the Death Spectres getting a fourth touchdown. 

The brave and Daring halfling team the  Portland Puddings (yeah their my team so I'll big them up all I want mwha ha ha) took on the Dog and Bone (Necromantic). The Dog and Bone team were really hampered by the lack of re rolls. Custard the Portland Pudding Treeman was on fire this game causing 3 casualties (I think) and the Puddings took the win 1- 0. Custard spent some. SPP and got block. 

Week 7

The  Death Spectres took on the Dog and Bone this week. In what all reports say was a brutal match. The Spectres won 3 - 1 but lost 3 players who are all missing next game.

The Puddings faced off against the Gnoblar Gobblers in a stuntie war and the puddings being in the unusual position of having the higher TV. The ogres did a great job of holding up my trees and it was a close swingy game. A. Very timely fireball from the Gnoblar hired wizard stopped the gathering halfling attack cold in their own half. Thanks to some fortunate bone head rolls and a completed pass. The halflings managed to get the ball away leaving most of the ogre team stuck on the other side of the field. The puddings win 1 - 0. Though they took a beating 3 badly hurt and several knock outs. Custard the tree again proved invaluable and spent more Spp after the match and got the randomly picked Brawler skill. 

The dominant Rat bastards took on the black Orc team Orcicidal Maniacs. A tough fight but the Rat Bastards won the match 2 - 1

Week 8

Another week you lucky people!!! The Gnoblar Gobblers took on the Dog and Bones. A wraith was released to the afterlife by an ogre and the Gnoblars took the win by 2 TDs to 0.

The Death Spectres took on the Rat Bastards missing 3 players. The skaven took the win 2 - 1.

The hugely popular (hey its my team I can be biased!!) Portland Puddings went the black Orc Orcicidal Maniacs on the pitch. A crazy match filled with failed catches (6 I believe as the ball bounced around the scrimmage line), elf like dodging from black orcs and some really unlucky rolls. The Portland Puddings took the win scoring 3 TDs to the Maniacs 1.  Again Custard the treeman using his block skill to great effect causing a couple of casualties. 

Phew I'm tired after all that action! Only 2 weeks left of the season. The Rat Bastards have sown the league up with theur undefeated run. Looks like no one can catch them. The Portland Puddings and Death Spectres are battling for second place! 

RCBBL Season 2 Week 5

 

We are at the halfway point in the league! 5 games in, numerous deaths, many casualties and plenty of action!! The Necromantic team Dog and Bone beat the Black Orc team the Orcicidal Maniacs 3 nil. The Maniacs Troll managed to vomit all over itself taking it out of the game.

The Death Spectres (Dark Elves) took on the Gnoblar Gobblers (Ogres).the ogre kicker booted a Gnoblar down field but the Gnoblar crashed I to the ground injuring himself. The elves running game was to much for the ogres and the Spectres won 3 nil.

The last match saw my very own Portland Puddings (Halflings) take on the undefeated Rat Bastards (Skaven). The puddings were granted a generous amount of inducements and they hired the legend Deep Root Strong Branch and a Master Chef. This game was a frustrating one for me, not for the usual halfling chaos.. That I can live with but my bleeding players could not pick up the ball ha ha! Deep root ploughed through the skaven team killing one and injuring a couple more but wasn't enough to stop the skaven speed. The puddings went down 2 nil.
