RCBBL Season 3 Week 5 and 6

Here we go 2 weeks worth of action for you.

Death  Spectres vs Eaglettes

Some elf on elf action! The dark elves chose the physical side of the game and took it to the Elven Union side. Taking the win 3 - 1

Glade Runners vs Gnoblar Gobblers

The wood elves used their speed and agility to mostly avoid the ogres. Mostly because the tree took a hell of beating but survived but a linemen was killed by an ogre. The Runners win the game 4 - 1

Fury Cutters vs Osiris Scales

Due to coach illness this game was conceded so Fury Cutters took a 2 - 0 win.

That wraps up week 5, the Eaglettes loss to the Death Spectres has broken the 3 way tie at the top. Now only 2 teams on equal standing the Death Spectres and Glade Runners and guess who play each other next?

Week 6

Glade Runners vs Death Spectres

Meeting of the two top teams in blizzard conditions (not at all ideal for my Wood elves) . The Glade Runners pulled an early touchdown out of the bag but then struggled on defence. The Wardancer failed a crucial leap, the wizard did not earn his gold at all when his fireball hit 7 players and managed to knock down......... 1. The Death Spectres march on to the top of the table winning 1-3

Eaglettes vs Osiris Scales

The liazrdmen ls strength proved to much for the Elven Union and they won 1 - 2

Fury Cutters vs Gnoblar Gobblers

This was a close match the humans favouring their one catcher to do the scoring, helped massively by the thrower being on form today. The Ogres sent Gnoblar after Gnoblar into the human half scoring twice. But the Fury Cutter humans took the win 3 - 2

OK so that's another 2 weeks done. A couple of matches have changed the league and we now have a single team in the lead. Bit unhappy my woodies couldn't take the W against the Death Spectres the weather made my thrower and catchers redundent for 90% and my war dancer will one day make a leap.

RCBBL Week 4!!

Here we go!!  OK ok I forgot to post this last week when we had played.  I got distracted anyway here are the scores on the doors.

Gnoblar Gobblers vs Death Spectres

In a brutal match punch up of a match the elves took the win 3 - 0

Eaglettes vs Fury Cutters

A tight match but the elves agility won the day 2 - 1

Glade Runners vs Osiris Scales

The lizardmen started off strong and pummelled the wood elves but a lucky kick and blitz plus the new tree men stepped up and laid out 3 of the 4 skinks drastically reducing the ball carrying ability got the woodies back into the match where their speed started to give them the edge. Glade Runners win 4 - 2

Right now the league is poised, 3 teams on equal points for the top!! These next few matches are crucial

RCGC Event 1 Death Race!

"Here we go!  I'm Troy Turbo Tomkins and here we are at the first RCGC Event and it's my favourite where I was made..... The Death Race!!!. The purest form of car combat surely? Well Channel 668 bring you this awesome season of action. We got three teams, 9 drivers all ready to compete for your votes and some hard earned cans and for the season champion a certain one way all expenses paid trip to.......... Mars!! Yes you heard me right! OK let's meet the teams! "

" We have the teams, we have the racetrack. Let's do this! "

" Phew what a race, plenty of carnage!!! So in case you missed it here are the race results.
1st place goes to Hawk!
2nd place goes to Shepard
3rd place  goes to Trinity Tailgate
4th Place goes to the Dark Knight
5th place goes to the Spectre.
The rest got wrecked and did not finish but good news filtering up from the pits I suppose is that all the drivers have survived and will be back again for our next event. The race to Mars has begun!"

*Going to change the font I use next time. I find it hard to read the txt in the pictures.

The Birthday Post!

Well it's that time in my life I've reached level 40! In Fallout or Skyrim that's good in real life I'm not so convinced! Alas we cannot fight the ever moving forward sands of time. Being a "big" (according to my friends and family) birthday I was really spoiled with presents. I got from the wife and kids, Assassins Creed valhalla so expect a sudden Viking addiction in the next few months (still have origins to finish yet). Also some undercoat spray, paints and brushes (they went for 40 things because I'm 40 so there was also jaffa cakes and packets of discos). My good friend Dave went all out and got me Blood Red Skies Airstrike, this is not quite a starter set but a bundle that comes with rules, airplanes and tokens......... So a lot like a starter set I guess.  I've been watching this game from afar and Dave got into it and like any good Wargame buddy got his mate into it as well!

So looking forward to taking the battle to the skies!

My sister got me some Fallout goodies, more Brotherhood of steel!

I now have a decent BoS force for Fallout Wasteland Warfare. On that subject my long time gaming buddy and best friend Alex (his blog is regularly mentioned in here) got me various bits of Fallout inspired scenary

These will add so much terrain wise to my Fallout games. Can't wait to play again.

The mother in law got me the Rumbleslam expansion Tables Ladders and Chests!

Now I have official rules for chairs and ladders instead of making my own up!

I was also bought by my brother in law a new blood bowl team!!! The last team I really fancied out of all the official ones so most likely no more teams need buying now........... Probably

Loved the chaos team on Blood bowl 2 so now I have them for the tabletop. Just need a minotair now for utter carnage!!

I have to say thank you to everyone that got me gift and putting up with my "strange" requests leading members of my family to websites they had never seen before. Now my painting queue is huge and I have to get cracking with some games for you guys!!
