RCBBL Season 2 Week 6 and 7 and 8!

 

Week 6 and 7 done!! 

Week 6 saw the ever dominant Rat Bastards( Skaven) beat the Gnoblar Gobblers (Ogre) 4 - 1. Can anyone stop these rats?

The Orcicidal Maniacs (Black Orc) lost 3 nil to the Death Spectres (Dark Elves) . A black Orc though has the honour of taking the RCBBLs first intercept stopping the Death Spectres getting a fourth touchdown. 

The brave and Daring halfling team the  Portland Puddings (yeah their my team so I'll big them up all I want mwha ha ha) took on the Dog and Bone (Necromantic). The Dog and Bone team were really hampered by the lack of re rolls. Custard the Portland Pudding Treeman was on fire this game causing 3 casualties (I think) and the Puddings took the win 1- 0. Custard spent some. SPP and got block. 

Week 7

The  Death Spectres took on the Dog and Bone this week. In what all reports say was a brutal match. The Spectres won 3 - 1 but lost 3 players who are all missing next game.

The Puddings faced off against the Gnoblar Gobblers in a stuntie war and the puddings being in the unusual position of having the higher TV. The ogres did a great job of holding up my trees and it was a close swingy game. A. Very timely fireball from the Gnoblar hired wizard stopped the gathering halfling attack cold in their own half. Thanks to some fortunate bone head rolls and a completed pass. The halflings managed to get the ball away leaving most of the ogre team stuck on the other side of the field. The puddings win 1 - 0. Though they took a beating 3 badly hurt and several knock outs. Custard the tree again proved invaluable and spent more Spp after the match and got the randomly picked Brawler skill. 

The dominant Rat bastards took on the black Orc team Orcicidal Maniacs. A tough fight but the Rat Bastards won the match 2 - 1

Week 8

Another week you lucky people!!! The Gnoblar Gobblers took on the Dog and Bones. A wraith was released to the afterlife by an ogre and the Gnoblars took the win by 2 TDs to 0.

The Death Spectres took on the Rat Bastards missing 3 players. The skaven took the win 2 - 1.

The hugely popular (hey its my team I can be biased!!) Portland Puddings went the black Orc Orcicidal Maniacs on the pitch. A crazy match filled with failed catches (6 I believe as the ball bounced around the scrimmage line), elf like dodging from black orcs and some really unlucky rolls. The Portland Puddings took the win scoring 3 TDs to the Maniacs 1.  Again Custard the treeman using his block skill to great effect causing a couple of casualties. 

Phew I'm tired after all that action! Only 2 weeks left of the season. The Rat Bastards have sown the league up with theur undefeated run. Looks like no one can catch them. The Portland Puddings and Death Spectres are battling for second place! 

RCBBL Season 2 Week 5

 

We are at the halfway point in the league! 5 games in, numerous deaths, many casualties and plenty of action!! The Necromantic team Dog and Bone beat the Black Orc team the Orcicidal Maniacs 3 nil. The Maniacs Troll managed to vomit all over itself taking it out of the game.

The Death Spectres (Dark Elves) took on the Gnoblar Gobblers (Ogres).the ogre kicker booted a Gnoblar down field but the Gnoblar crashed I to the ground injuring himself. The elves running game was to much for the ogres and the Spectres won 3 nil.

The last match saw my very own Portland Puddings (Halflings) take on the undefeated Rat Bastards (Skaven). The puddings were granted a generous amount of inducements and they hired the legend Deep Root Strong Branch and a Master Chef. This game was a frustrating one for me, not for the usual halfling chaos.. That I can live with but my bleeding players could not pick up the ball ha ha! Deep root ploughed through the skaven team killing one and injuring a couple more but wasn't enough to stop the skaven speed. The puddings went down 2 nil. 

RCBBL 2 Week 4!!

 

Another week done in the RCBBL! The Rat Bastards keep their  dominant form up and take a 3 - 1 win against Dog and Bone

The Gnoblar Gobblers beat the Orcicidal Maniacs. The highlights being an Ogre one turn touch down and the black Orc troll munching on a goblin instead of throwing him!!

My plucky halflings took on the Death Spectres, the dark elves not used to halfling shenanigans took a while to get started but have the halflings a plummeling reducing me down to 7 players at one point. The dark elves took the lead but a cheeky fireball from a wizard and a well aimed thrown halfling ment a cheeky against the run of play halfling touch down!

Notice the cheeky halfling on his own in the back field with the ball! 

But then the dark elves reasserted their dominance and formed a cage to plough forward. My only defensice tactic I had left was to throw a halfling at the cage!! Much hilarity occurred as my halfling bounced of many a dark elf!! He finally landed and KO'd himself but had knocked down most of the cage even KO'd someone. The dark elves reformed and powered forward scoring a second touch down. The gane ended 2 - 1. My catcher broke his arm so loses a passing point (not a massive worry as he's a catcher) and one of the Death Spectres line men was badly hurt. 

Next up I have the Rat Bastards! Top of the league and undefeated. Can my little guys do it??? 

RCBBL 2 Week 3!

 

Week 3 is done and dusted! The Ogre team the Gnoblar Gobblers defeated the Necromantic team Dog and Bone 2 - 1. The Rat Bastards continued their winning run by defeating the Death Spectres. The Death Spectres lost a witch elf in the match. My team the Portland Puddings, a bunch of plucky halflings faced off against the Orcicidal Maniacs a black Orc team.  Getting a pile of inducements I took Halfling Masterchef and a wizard. In the early on on the match my treeman Custard made himself known by making a black Orc a casualty. From then on the halflings got extremely lucky, the black Orc team were frustrated with the block dice giving out push after push after push. They did manage to KO a treeman, a halfling injured himself trying to dodge away from the opposing team. The halflings tried their best having to pick there tackles but being able to go one on one with goblins helped. One Halfing was flung into a goblin KO'ing him and bowling over a troll but not breaking his armour. A Halfing catcher made hie was through the carnage to score the games only touchdown. A halfling vs goblin fight ended with both down but the goblin was killed!!! Nuffle was not having the black orcs at all, goblin using a rush (Going for it in old terms) to enter the touchdown zone failed and collaspes to the floor (Thanks to my master chef for tski g all of their re rolls) and it the last turn the Troll managed to throw a goblin who landed despite a terrible throw, the goblin landed and dodged but failed to pick up the ball one square away a from the touchdown zone! 1- 0 to the Portland Puddings. My catcher levelled up and I chose Divng Catch for him. 

Another great week! Bring on the next week of chaos! 

Family DnD Session 16. Back to Queens Watch

 The adventurers returned to Queens Watch. Paladin Danse met them at the docks saying they should get settled into a tavern for the night and then they can start Investigating where the wizard went with the chalice in Queens Watch. As they entered the town they noticed a large notice board. Azorak spotted a notice addressed to him??

The party headed to the Salted Pig to look for the mysterious D.  When they arrive and settle down a voice calls to Azorak. Another dwarf comes up to the table and introduces himself. Davarack is his name and he is Azoracks cousin. He explains Azoracks home and clan has been overun by an enemy and they have lost any kind of communication. He is leading a caravan of medical supplies but needs help to get to the clan survivors and he has heard about Azorak and his deeds. The party agree and the next day they set off. Davorak explains the enemy has blocked the main entrance with a camp so he will drop them at an abandoned mine which connects to their home.

They arrive and head in. An old mine awaits them, the first room used to be some kind of kitchen but has been turned into a grizzly trophy room. Skulls everywhere. A hell hound is guarding them and unleashes a gout of flame at the party who eventually vanquish it. Trey move on finding 2 dire wolves (1 injured) hiding from the hell hound. Ian the the druid explains he's gone and the wolves bound out of the mine. The party presses on, Downhead narrowly escapes an acid trap. They eventually find a large cavern where several what appears to be cultists chanting. One tells them that the party will never stop the black skull being summoned then suddenly he's possessed and the black skull speaks through him. He tells Azorak that his clan will be ground into dust, Ian the and Downhead their family will burn and Ragnum his tribe will be destroyed. The party charges into battle, Ragnum throws a cultist off a cliff and the cultists are vanquished under a hail of arrows and weapon strokes . The party discover stairs leading deeper into the mine. What will they find? 

The RCBBL is back baby!!!! Season 2 week 1 and 2.

We are back!! New bloodbowl! New teams! But same fun and carnage!!! With a new edition coming out means new rulebooks all round (yay!). The biggest change being a new stat, the passing stat which will cut down on pesky elf linemen throwing like a star (sorry Matt). 

Let's meet the teams!

The Death Spectres are back with a new line up. The dark elf team are title defenders looking to hold onto that trophy.

Rat Bastards. The Skaven have arrived! Sneaky and fast, watch out for the gutter runners!

Dog and Bone. New coach, newly teleased team. The Necromantic arrive on the scene. The werewolves are the stars of this team! 

Orcicidal Maniacs. Brand new team from the new box set, the black orcs are the best here. This team is all about bash 

The Gnoblar Gobblers. The ogres are here!! Ogres and gnoblers are the team here. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No its a kicked or thrown Gnoblar!! 

The Portland Puddings. What's that lovely cooking smell..... Oh its the halflings here to play Blood Bowl...... Or maybe eat. Hell they can do both!! With new positionals it isn't just a bunch of hopefuls anymore some of them have specific jobs! 

The season kicked off with the Rat Bastards vs the Gnoblar Gobblers. This ended up in a 2 - 1 victory to the Rat Bastards. One of the ogres had to miss the next game due to  injury.

Next up was the Portland Puddings vs Dog and Bone. A first time player vs a first time stunty player! The match kicked off, a were wolf bounded down the side of the pitch but usng halfling team work  he was shoved into the crowd who promptly killed it!! The match ended 2 - 0 to Dog and Bone. A halfling catcher and tree were missing next game. 

The first week ended with Death Spectres playing the Orcicidal Maniacs. A hard fought out 1-1 draw.

Week 2

The Death Spectres played Dog and Bone. The Death Spectres took the win 2 - 0.

Orcicidal Maniacs and Rat Bastards went at it. The skaven won 2 - 1

The Portland Puddings travelled to the Gnoblar Gobblers, missing a tree and a catcher. The Gobblers were missing an ogre. The match was a brutal punch up. An ogre was sent off, the only halfling tree knocked out for most of the match. The halflings killed a gnobbler. The ogre punter killed a Gnoblar and injured another. The halflings had to pass like a normal team which I hadn't planned on. and took the win 2 - 0. One hefty earned himself enough points to buy an upgrade and I gave him Hail Mary pass. As I have a cunning plan for future matches.

That's the first 2 rounds sorted! Onwards to the next matches. My Fling adventure continues!!! 

PPV Last Stand 4 Way Exploding Square Match

 

"What an opening match! We've finished moping the blood up and clearing away the weapons. Now our crew are rigging the ring up for our next exciting installment of the night.  4 warriors will step into the ring but this will be no ordinary ring. Placed in the ring are squares that when stepped on will bring on a world of pain. Welcome to TCWs first Exploding Square match!!!!! Let's Rock!! And hope you don't go boom....... Who am I kidding we want someone to go boom right?? "

The combatants are ready in the ring. Keep your eyes on the red squares and if someone should step on them BOOM! Ha ha ha that will be awesome. Right let's do this

Waaarrior acts first as the bell rings

Waaarrior roars his challenge at Gunn but Gunn isn't intimidated!

Sensible move by T'Rog there, avoiding the big guy

Gunn rockets off the ropes but Waaarrior avoid the running leg drop. Gunn snaps off a quick punch

Here comes the Green Machine!

The Green Machine hits a spinning spine buster and a punch pummeling Gunn.

Surrounded Gunn starts swinging

Gunn punches Waaarrior! Then goes for the ropes looks like he's trying to clear some space

Gunn hits Green Machine hard! Waaarrior tries to grab Gunn in a head lock but Gunn resists. Waaarrior unleashes punches put after the first few the crowd call no class and heckle Waaarrior to do something different! Always give the crowd what they want!

Green Machine has an evil grin on his face. He leans on the ropes for a boost, oh hear that ring creak!!

Green Machine hammers into Gunn sending him sprawling into Waaarrior who welcomes Gunn with a huge punch

Gunns down!!! T'Rog is using the confusion to make a move

Oooo from behind T'Rog that's not fair ha ha ha ha

The crowd disappointed with Gunns performance let him know about it. Oh man I love our fans!!

Wait look at Waaarrior!!

He's lifted T'Rog! What amazing strength, the easy option would be to throw T'Rog out of the ring but that wouldn't be fun would it Waaarrior.

I think Waaarrior heard me, looks like he's aiming for the exploding Squares. Nobody tell T'rog what I said ok?? OK???

Woah!!!! The whole building just shook, T'Rog has managed to keep his feet but looks hurt. He staggers away from the battle to get his breath back

Green Machine looks down at Gunn with Contempt. 

Oh!!! Gunn is out of the match!! That's one down. 3 left here we go!

Waaarrior goes for the Tooth Drop but he misses!! And he T'Rog dodges a punch as well! T'Rog responds with punches, oh wait the Green Machine is coming. I didn't know a guy that be big could be that sneaky. He's grabbed T'Rog!!

I have a sneaky feeling I know what's going to happen

Oh man T'Rog is unlucky! He's gonna get blown up twice.

One was bad enough but to is too much for T'Rog and he is out for the count. Waaarrior takes advantage of the distracted Green Machine.

Here comes the Tooth drop!!!

Wow! What a hit! Waaarrior lashes out in fury with a fearsome punch

Green Machine didn't see that coming!!

BOOM!!!!!! GREEN Machine stepped on an exploding Square!!!

I did not see Green Machine getting KO'd I had him picked as the favourite.

Waaarrior goes for the pin but Green Machine kicks out!! Unbelievable!!

T'Rog is up! The crowd roar him on!!  He sees Green Machine lying on the floor and seizes the opportunity. He jumps onto Green Machine for the pin!! 

Wow! The favourite is eliminated only 2 left standing.

Waaarriors blood is up and he bounces of the ropes for the Jungle Fever!

Oooo that was to much for T'Rog after all those explosions he's KO'd!

Waaarrior gets the pin! He takes the match!!

Waaarrior with a statement of intent and he's Number 1 contender spot!!!
