RCBBL Champions obtain Trophy at last!!

Thanks to the current Covid 19 crisis I have been unable to get the trophy to  Matt the coach of the Death Spectres. I managed it today!

Season 1 champions! But there are more teams coming for that trophy next season including my Wood Elfs and Halflings!

Rumbleslam!!!!

Today Rumbleslam arrived!! Thank you RkStudio Store.

It comes in a very nice box I have to say. Inside I was well impressed with the contents. The rule book is brilliant and the artwork is fantastic.

You get a ring made out of mouse matt material (neoprene I believe) to play on.

This is  a nice quality mat. I expected a paper or card one so this was a nice surprise. 

You get wrestler cards, some very nice dice and acrylic tokens (Again a nice touch, could easily have put cardboard tokens in). 

Now the wrestlers. With the starter set you get 2 teams of wrestlers. Human and Green skins. 

The human team. You seems to get 2 standard humans, 2 halflings and an big guy/ogre type chap. 

The green skins roughly match, 2 orcs, 2 goblins and a massive Troll!

The models are really nice sculpts and come with clear bases which is a first for me. I'm gonna have to paint them before gluing them to the bases so I don't get paint on them. Can't wait to get these built up!!

As an added bonus I was also sent an extra wrestler!

The Valkyrie arrives!

During this Covid crisis my hobby has been reduced a lot. I did order some Barbarian reinforcements from RalPartha. Seeing my friends progress on his 15mm Dragon rampant force I needed some more troops!

Joining Chief Asgreth for war is his wife Kethri the Valkyrie and her Midnight Spears.

Barbarian women are not much for staying home and looking after the home life. They go on raids alongside the males. Kethri is by far the strongest of the females and chose Asgreth as her mate .  She shuns traditional Barbarian female dress preferring fancier outfits but with relentless practice they do not inhibit her fighting style. She brings with her  a unit of spearmen called the Midnight Spears. Raised from members of her family they are utterly loyal to Kethri. 

Chief Asgreth's scouts reported the cursed UNORP have war machines so he sent word for the Barbarian smiths to bring him his own war machine.

The bolt thrower will give the Chiefs force some longer range now to strike the Green skins. 

As Chief Asgreth has gathered the tribes together, the Elder Shaman has allowed the use of the fabled Dragon Banner. An ancient banner held a loft when the Barbarians were united as one tribe. Could this be a new awakening!

Scatter Terrain

While doing a lock down clean up and sort out I discovered my sons old grow your own crystal. It had seen better days and was broken plunging pieces

Being a wargamer I instantly spotted the potential here. I thought this would be something cool for put narrative Konflikt 47 campaign. Surely Professor Lange would be interested in this strange crystal.
 I decided it would be cool if I could get them to glow as well so I ordered some tea lights.

Once they arrived I set to making them.

Glued the lights down to CD bases (not worried about changing the batteries as my smoke lights are still going and they are a good few years old).  Next up was filler all over the base to build up a little rock pile. I then added crystals all over the pile around the tea light.

A layer of black undercoat, then a few layers of grey to build up the rocks. 

Then I added flock and here they are

Quick and dirty but does the job I believe! 

Lock down!

So I've been quiet for a super long time and that's due to yep you've guessed it Covid 19.  Though I am still going to work so I at least get to get out the house. Unfortunatly the lock down means not much miniature hobby being done as I'm either working or entertaining / schooling  6 and 4 year old boys. Though the distinct lack of going out has freed up some cash so I have pre ordered Warlords new Naval Game Victory at sea.

I've been playing on my ps4 World of Warships legends a lot and I had been interested in Cruel Seas but the ships were the smaller craft and it just didn't grab me where as this one is all about big ships fighting it out. (I have a tiny YouTube channel where I put random gaming videos up mostly from Blood bowl or World of Warships click Here to see a video and subscribe if you'd like). I have pre orders the starter set which contains American ships vs Japanese ships. I would have preferred  a Royal Navy  starter set but alas there is not one. It was due for release on the 10th April but due to this horrible virus it has been delayed.

I have also ordered some more 15mm Barbarians to expand my forces there. A unit of spearmen, a banner bearer and a barbarian princess will be winding their way to me soon.

Destroy the Base (Aftermath)

Sgt Howard peered through the smoke at the retreating Germans.
"Coopers had it sir.  McDonald I think will make it" Corporal Smith said behind him. The squad were all a bit stunned they had been used to feeling invulnerable in their Galahad armour but even though the Germans had been defeated they had took down 2 of Sgt Harwoods squad.
"Right thank you Corporal, send a couple of lads to watch the bridge. I'll go see McDonald"
"Yes Sarge" with that reply the Corporal walked off. Harwood walked over to where McDonald lay, his armour blackened and torn.
"Trust you to get an auto cannon to the face" Harwood smiled,
"To be fair sarge I think it was the main gun. All I saw was a flash and boom!"
Harwood snorted a laugh,
"You'll be alright, off to the hospital to see all those pretty nurses. Get back soon chap" he tapped the soldier on shoulder and turned as vehicles approached. A regular soldier came running over.
"Afternoon Sergeant. Bloody impressive up close your Galahad armour. Me and the lads not seen it up close before. Those Germans didn't stand a chance. Oh Sgt Clementine by the way 1st Battalion KSLI."
The sergeant offered his hand. Harwood shook it.
" Took us a while to get into the fight. As good as this armour is its very slow. You're lads seem to have handled everything thrown at them. Those horrors are not fun at all to deal with."
" we've had to many close calls with those bloody Nachtjager. Glad we got them before they landed among us. That would not have been fun. " the sergeant scratched his face as he spoke.
" No not at all. You boys did well I'll put in a word with my CO when I get back to base. We always need reliable troops for special jobs. " Harwood turned as a column of vehicles arrived.
" Thank you sergeant. Sounds good"
"Don't thank me yet, you might regret it but what we do is crucial to the war effort." The sergeant laughed and walked back to his soldiers. The base Lieutenant came over,
"Sergeant, orders came through you and your guys gotta be on those trucks. A Major Whitaker needs you with him ASAP. Apparently Professor Lange is stirring up trouble."
"Yes sir"
He signalled his squad to mount up.

Destroy the Forward Base! (Battle rep)

Games night is upon us! The dastardly Germans led by Professor Lange are out for revenge after his storage tanks were destroyed. He has located a British base and intends to destroy it.

The British troops rushed to man the defences when the Germans were spotted

Both squads move out in defence

The watching British anti tank gun spotted the Germans first. Loosing off at shot at the German lorry

Boom!!! 

First blood goes to the British. The German soldiers spill out of the stricken truck.

A loud clanking of metal gets thr British attention as a Mighty German Zeus moves into view

The British snipers spot thr dreaded Nazi horrors bounding toward the British lines

Nachtjager approaching! 

Meanwhile the British Cromwell spots the Zeus and trys a long range shot but it misses

Target ten o clock!!! 

The British troops rushed to man their positions

The Nachtjager flew at the entrenched tommies but they stood their ground and in an immense display of shooting. They blew the Nachtjager out of the sky

The Galahad armoured troops that had been resting at the forward base moved up to contain the Germans

When you need to wipe out a squad. 8 Galahad will do it

A Hail of bullets too out the German infantry!
The British sniper searched for a target. He spotted the Panzershreck team

Behind that wall. Get him! 

The Sniper shot the remaining Panzershreck team member.
Shreckwulfen bounded across the bridge but again the British soldiers held their nerve and shit the oncoming attackers down.

The Brit soldiers showed no fear against the German horrors.
The Germans started to pull back. The British Cromwell pushed forward to make sure the Germans left

The British successfully defended the base.

Really good game and its been a while since we've played konflikt47. Had a great laugh as ever!
