I love to come up with different scenarios for games so we So we don't just play the standard type missions. The last one I did was the raid to kill Churchill (read about it here ). This time round I fancied a raid on a German Totenkorp factory. This would have a small garrison defending vs an airborne / commando / special forces attacking.
Here's the scenario I wrote.
Totenkorps Factory Raid
Allied intelligence has pin pointed a German Totenkorp factory in an isolated deep valley near the frontlines. High command has approved a raid to destroy this factory.
Forces
Defenders – 250pts + Free Totenkorp squad + Defensive positions
Attackers – 750pts (Airborne, Commando or Special forces)
Free TotenKorps
Defenders get one free full squad of Totenkorps. Also next to the factory there will be two Totenkorp pens or containers (Scenery permitting). These contain 2D6 Totenkorps when activated by a defending unit (Unit must be in base to base contact with the container / pen door. Add an order dice in bag after base to base contact has been made).
Battlefield
Board played long ways. Factory type building at one end with a cleared area around the factory and defensive positions (Bunkers, trenches etc.). A single road leading up to factory
Deployment
Defending forces start inside the factory, inside the defensive positions or within 6” of the factory.
Attacker within 6” of board edge opposite to factory.
No outflanking allowed
Turn limit
5 Turns, on fifth turn roll a D6. On a 4+ add an extra turn.
Victory Conditions
Attacker wins if it gets a unit inside the factory without any defending units inside.
Defender wins if the attacking units are stopped from getting in the factory at the end of the turn limit.
Needs a play as I'm not sure on force points yet. Let me know if you guys try it! Hopefully I'll have played it in a few weeks
